⭐ TRAIL DESCRIPTION ⭐
A video tour of the TF-5 trail in the Anaga Rural Park in Tenerife. This official one-way trail goes between the Chamorga village and the Igueste de San Andres town at the very end of the road that connects Santa Cruz to the Las Teresitas beach. If you are not familiar with the geography of the island, together with the TF-6 trail this is the most northern trail in Anaga.

The TF-5 trail is situated in a similar region of the Anaga Rural Park as the TF-2 one-way trail and the TF-3 circular trail.

Officially advertised trail length is about 7.4 kilometers, but our GPS watch registered 9 kilometers between Chamorga and the official trail end. To get to Igueste, you'll have to walk for a total of 11 kilometers.

I walked with my 9-year old and felt completely comfortable on the whole trail, so I would classify this as a kid-friendly trail. But, of course, one needs to be reasonable about this and take into account how adventurous your kid is.

The TF-5 in the direction of Igueste is also ok for kids and most hikers as the vertical ascent was just 370 vertical meters (of course, it's more if you ascent from Igueste to Charmorga).

If you go to Chamorga by bus, take the bus 947 and be ready for a 1,5 hour bus ride from Santa Cruz and a seriously curvy rode. The bus goes 3 times a day on working days and 4 times a day on weekends (schedule is in the video). If you get sick in cars, the bus ride is probably not for you.
