Star Wars Starfighter began principal photography today as a photo with star Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray was revealed. Officially announced at Star Wars Celebration in April, Starfighter is set several years after Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker and stars Ryan Gosling, Mia Goth, Matt Smith, Flynn Gray, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Daniel Ings, Jamael Westman and Amy Adams.
It's kind of amazing to see an announced Star Wars movie actually enter the production stage - it felt like it would never happen.
Star Wars Starfighter is directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy, The Adam Project, Deadpool & Wolverine) and releases on May 27, 2027.
