In terms of leather I have chosen 1.5mm Horween Hatch Grain with Chevre lining, these are both split down to 0.8mm to give me a total thickness of 1.6mm. For the hardware, I have chosen a butterfly clasp just because I personally prefer these to the traditional buckle.
