Conductor John-Szicheng Lau directed this beautiful alto solo version of Max Reger's tender "The Virgin's Slumber Song" at the Congregational Church Christmas Concert over 15 years ago in Manhasset, Long Island. It seems to be somber fitting memorial tribute to the recent New Town tragedy in CT where so many young children were laid to rest.
"Ah, baby, dear one, slumber now!"
Soloist's name is Gwendolyn Hillman.
