New shroomless setup! Spent hours trying to pull off the previous WR shroomless setup, but it felt like a complete lottery to get it even with a perfect allignment (I only managed to get it twice). So I gave up with this method and starting exploring a new way to achieve it.

A few months ago, G-Danzee suggested the idea of holding an MT up to the SC spot to get the shroomless SC. At the time I didn't think it was possible, but after watching new metarotta's TAS using a similar strat discovered by Suuper (   • Mario Kart DS - Waluigi Pinball Shortcut 1...  ), I tried to search a viable way to do it RTA.

Getting a good alignment isn't easy, but after some practice and with the help of pause buffering I managed to find a method that’s somewhat consistent (and way easier than the other setup). Here’s a demonstration:    • WP shroomless mt setup  

I'm using ST LG because its mt last longer than ST RB, making shroomless easier. I still need to test ST YS more, I'm not really sure which kart is better.

As for the run, it's quite solid overall, specially for being the first run I complete with this strat, but I think 1:29 is possible with better driving and SC set ups. I don't know if for the future it'll be better to switch to a 1-shroomer kart and try to get 2 shroomless SCs, or keep with a 2-shroomer kart and try to get faster SC set ups.
