Body camera footage, released by the New York State Attorney General's Office, shows an encounter between David Levine, 69, and members of the New York State Police on April 9, 2025. Levine was armed with a gun and refused to drop the weapon when police instructed him to do so, State Police said in a news release. Troopers fired their weapons when Levine pointed his gun at them. Levine was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
