“Covadonga” channels IMPUREZA’s Hispanic Metal vision into a four-minute storm of flamenco-infused brutality and myth. Inspired by the legendary Battle of Covadonga (722 CE), often mythologized as the birth of the Spanish Reconquista, the song fuses razor-edged death metal riffing with flamenco phrasing, orchestral grandeur, and guttural Spanish vocals narrating Don Pelayo’s prophecy and divine intervention.

As part of Alcázares, IMPUREZA’s new concept album, “Covadonga” stands as the symbolic ignition of centuries of struggle: an explosive union of beauty and brutality.
