The Canon C100 has an auto exposure uption, but the Push Auto Iris is more useful as we rarely want the aperture to be changing randomly during shooting with its effect on depth of field. Better control can be obtained using the zebra tool, either to maximise the exposure without overexposing any element in the scene, or to set the best exposure for skin tones. As we shall see in a later video, skin tones in reality are so variable that trying to set the exposure on that basis will result in inconsistency.
The audio is not great - I've been using a Cloudlifter and it seems to introduce a bit of distortion at apparently safe levels. I'll drop the Cloudlifter in future and run the Shure SM7B straight into the Zoom H5.
