LOGIC PRO X - How to Make a track with just One-Note

In this episode, Jono inverts the creative process by taking a musical note 'for a walk'. He's stealing this idea from drawing classes which encourage you to put your pencil on the page and not to remove it until you've finished.

We tend to approach composing and producing music the same way each time we start a new track, adding more instruments, building up an arrangement over 4 or 8-bar loops and expecting a number of tracks to be involved in any production. A musical equivalent might be to allow yourself only one note and then to create a 4-bar sequenced, sound-designed experiment, without allowing yourself the advantage of playing chords, adding beats or doing whatever you might normally do. Through this video, Jono will create a series of Auxiliary effect treatments to elongate and process the core note until it becomes the beginning of a track in its own right, exploring a number of Logic's effects plug-ins along the way. And remember, this is just the start. At the end, he'll break the one-note rule and discuss what you might do with a production which starts in this slightly left-field way.
