More Cave fun at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky

The Mammoth Cave walking self-guided tour was good, but it only took a few hours in the morning to complete. So then, on the way back to Nashville, we decided to take a side trip into Bowling Green, Kentucky to visit the Lost River Cave.
When I was searching I found that the Lost River Cave was unique since it's actually a boat ride in a river in the cave itself. I think it's worth a few hours to checkout. The grounds have some other activities available as well. One of them was a short hike to a butterfly house we visited before starting the cave tour itself.
Overall, the cave tour boat ride was a bit short, but it was unique. Our guide, KP, was a grad student from Western Kentucky University and she was great at providing a lot of historical and scientific information in a humorous and enjoyable way! I think that WKU is great partner for the cave.
