The Glynn Nicholas Show - My Dad's Old Car (1996)

An episode of the ultra funny, but sadly largely "archive" forgotten, brilliantly conceived comedy series "The Glenn... sorry, Glynn Nicholas Show" - My Dad's Old Car guest starring celebrity chef Gabriel Gaté, Bob Hornery and Kevin Harrington.

This wonderfully cockeyed improvised feeling comic slice of genius stars the equally wonderful comedian and entertainer Glynn Nicholas (The Big Gig). Supporting stars are Alison Whyte and Wayne Hope.
The series was written by Glynn himself and his old busking buddy Shaun Micallef.

This series premiered on ABC TV Australian in around April 1996 and was repeated only once in a late night timeslot in the summer of 1997/1998.
This episode was recorded during the premiere run.

According to some sources, this series is stated as lasting between 8 to 10 episodes, however, I seem to recall it only lasted 6 episodes. If anyone can shed more light on this, please let me know. If you do, please site evidence as I don't want a whole "There are 13 episodes of Fawlty Towers I tells ya!" thing going on.

The quality of this episode is in a poor state. This is due to the fact this is a salvage copy as my original VHS master was damaged in an accident in storage.

This series has never been commercially released on any purchasable media. It is a real shame as it is a really sweet piece of comedy gold. I only have 4 whole episodes in my possession and I will upload the rest in due course.
In the meantime, please sit back, take a trip back to 1996 and enjoy the comic mishaps of Glynn as he navigates through life being a single father living with his sister in law and hanging with his neighbour as they get into more bizarre situations. Look out for the great Pate Biscuit and Sgt F'kn Smith.
