In this video I demonstrate and share the importance of knowing my stoma size and why knowing matters. After surgery, stomas are actually larger than they will be after recovery and healing due to swelling. Knowing your stoma size going forward is essential to having the appropriate flange/wafer that fits which reduces potential leaks and skin irritation.
