Burnley’s Queen Street Textile Mill - We really enjoyed visiting the old Victorian Mill in Burnley where they also filmed the King’s Speech. Hope you enjoy the 4K60fps tour 😊😊
Queen Street Mill is a former weaving mill in Harle Syke, a suburb to the north-east of Burnley, Lancashire, that is a Grade I listed building. It now operates as a museum and cafe. Currently open for public tours between April and November. Over winter the café is opened on Wednesdays.

The hit film, The Kings Speech starring A-list stars Colin Firth and Helena Bonham-Carter, also boasts a special extra in the form of Queen Street Mill, Briercliffe, which was used for some of the scenes.
A historic mill in Lancashire had a major role in the Oscar tipped film The King's Speech.
The Queen Street Mill, at Briercliffe near Burnley, was used as a location for the film about how King George VI overcame a debilitating stammer after his surprise ascension to the throne.
And some of the staff were given parts in the film alongside Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon and Guy Pearce.
The King's Speech is a 2010 British historical drama film directed by Tom Hooper and written by David Seidler. Colin Firth plays King George VI who, to overcome his stammer, sees Lionel Logue, an Australian speech therapist played by Geoffrey Rush. The two men become friends as they work together, and after his brother Edward VIII abdicates, the new king relies on Logue to help him make a radio broadcast on the day that Britain goes to war with Germany at the beginning of World War II.
