DEAD FINKS - "EDEN" (Music video)

We dressed up to premiere the video for the new single from the ever-solid and never-disappointing Dead Finks, who once again leave us stunned with their music and images, in this occasion for “Eden,” first taste from their upcoming fourth album to be released by Bretford Records. I don't know if Berlin-based duo made up of Joseph Thomas and Erin Violet are tired of being reminded of their New Zealand origins, or the hackneyed memory of the amazing “Dunedin sound,” due to where they come from (I would be absolutely delighted) but honestly I must say that, at least in this awesome track, I can profusely hear it, and the fact is that very few bands have had the opportunity, and even fewer the ability, to combine in such an efficient way the best of two scenes so gifted at making the best post-punk in the last four decades. "Eden", an overwhelming, robust and exuberant sound where this time the Finks have increased their emphasis on clarity and dynamics, tempering their palette with shimmering guitars and warped shoegazy textures, anchored to a lockstep rhythm and an all-timer example of their penchant for a bratty, singalong chorus
