I found myself home alone for the day — something that rarely happens — and it turned into the simplest kind of kitchen rhythm. No big projects, no elaborate cooking. Just real, everyday meals using what I already had on hand.

For breakfast, eggs and vegetables.
Lunch was a jar of homemade canned soup.
Dinner came from the freezer: enchiladas I’d prepped earlier and tucked away.
And in between, an easy snack of crackers, cheese, and red pepper jelly.

Nothing fancy. No rush. Just simple, nourishing food that makes daily life easier when the work has already been done.
