Hello hello hello, and Welcome back to our channel.
In this episode, we arrive in Jasper National Park where Jane & I enjoy views of the enormous snow capped Canadian Rockies, Mt Edith Cavell, the incredible Athabasca Falls, the crystal clear waters of Patricia Lake, catch a glympse of some Canadian Wildlife, and we’ll take the Jasper Sky Tram up Whistler Mountain and Hike to the 8100 foot summit, as we continue our Alaska 2.0 journey on our Golden Anniversary Adventure.

WABASSO CAMPGROUND

We travel traveling all day along the Icefields Parkway and we pull off at the Wabasso Campground , 10 miles south of the town of Jasper where we have made a reservation to camp .

Due to its popularity, especially during peak summer months, securing a reservation in advance is highly recommended. Reservations can be made through Parks Canada's online system

Wabasso Campground, is nestled in a forested area in Jasper National Park and offers a serene camping experience near the Athabasca River.

Camping fees range from $23.00 to $32.25 per night, depending on the type of site selected. A fire permit is required for campfires, which includes firewood and costs an additional $10.50 per day.
Wabasso Campground typically operates from early June to late September.
It serves as an excellent base for exploring nearby attractions such as Mount Edith Cavell, Angel Glacier ,Athabasca Falls, and Whistler Mountain, and that is exactly what we plan to do.

The campground features 231 sites suitable for both tent camping and smaller RVs or trailers up to 8.5 meters (27 feet) in length.

Patricia Lake is a stunning glacial lake located just a few miles northwest of the town of Jasper, making it a popular destination for visitors looking to experience the park’s natural beauty.
The lake offers crystal-clear waters, breathtaking mountain reflections, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a fantastic spot for photography and relaxation.

Rocky Mountain goats are often mistaken for goats but are actually more closely related to antelopes.

Rocky Mountain goats thrive in steep, rocky terrain at high elevations, often above 2,000 meters (6,500 feet). They prefer cliffs, alpine meadows, and rugged slopes, where they can avoid predators like wolves, cougars, and bears.

Whistler Mountain
Offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Rockies. The mountain gets its name from the hoary marmots that inhabit the area and are known for their high-pitched whistles.

The incredible breathtaking views of Canada’s Rocky Mountain ranges is to say the least —AWESOME
