By establishing case-specific configurations in the process phases, SAP EWM Warehouse Order Creation Rules (WOCR) allow businesses to better classify work and optimize manpower. They are quite useful for setting up warehouse orders so that picking or putaway processes may be carried out in the most efficient manner. Using the WOCR, warehouse orders are created from the tasks in the warehouse. Orders from the warehouse are then given to the workers in order to be processed.

In order to fully optimize operations in the warehouse, one of the main benefits of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) is warehouse order creation. Along with simplifying the classification of the labor, a running process that uses a set of business rules to find the best output possible in exchange for this labor is also at work.
A worker is in charge of filling a warehouse order that can take a specific length of time. The majority of the time, SAP EWM simply puts together warehouse jobs to create warehouse orders. This is done in accordance with set creation rules.

Through the Post Processing Framework or a wave release, warehouse tasks are created against warehouse requests. A wave is made up of numerous delivery items. EWM creates warehouse tasks upon the release of the wave and wave item. Using predetermined guidelines, warehouse chores are classified by activity area, which is a logical grouping of storage bins based on prescribed warehouse activities.

Each activity area has one or more WOCRs that must be followed up until each warehouse task is paired with a warehouse order. As required, filters and restrictions are employed. EWM uses the search sequence to create warehouse orders, which are collections of warehouse tasks. Since there are numerous WOCRs and EWM works through them in order, as defined for each activity area in the setup. Multiple shipments' warehousing activities can be combined into a single warehouse order.
