Build systems are easy to create, but that doesn't mean we want to create a new one for every project we work on. Still, some builds require project specific information, such as the location of a config file. Can we make a build that is easily reusable?
Sublime builds have a powerful concept known as build variables; placeholders you put into your build system that expand out when the build is executed to information like the name of the current file or where a project is stored.
This video covers the basics of build variables and how to use them to make your builds easily reusable.
