Decided to revisit the TH40 after another few hundred rounds fired. As I noted in my first video on this weapon, the TH40 defies expectations—where quality is concerned. Taurus may not have a historical reputation for soundness, but my TH40 has done very well, and I would rank it with my S&W M&P 9 as well as my RIA 1911, concerning shooting accurately (for my mediocre skillset) when I need it to. Felt recoil is comparable to .45 ACP, but of course the TH40 is a double-stack, so you get 15 rounds per magazine. Which again have functioned very reliably. The Covid-19 panic has made these (and the TH9) much harder to find, and also prices have gone up. But it's still a good economy semiauto hand gun in my opinion.
