The Muslim | An Islamic Short Film

Assalāmu’alaikum, this is my first ever short film. It took almost a month (mostly due to delays though). I made this all the way back in January with the help of two of my brothers in Islām. Alhamdulillāh.

The idea behind this? I have been personally reflecting recently on the journey of a Muslim in a world where hypocrisy and injustice have prevailed. A big part of the inspiration of this film is the Palestine situation. It has become clear how unjust the man-made "system" of this world is. Islām is the only solution to it all but its implementation is yet to be seen. I tried portraying the message in the film through the visuals and poetry. I hope it inspires you and that you may find in it something to relate to.

May Allāh liberate Palestine and free all humans from oppression. May He accept our efforts and guide us to the right path. Āmīn.

[Synopsis]
The story follows a young Muslim who finds himself spiritually shaken in a world steeped in injustice and grief. Haunted by the oppression he sees — especially in places like Palestine — he feels helpless, disillusioned, and lost in his own life. Seeking solace, he turns to the Masjid, hoping for peace but needing answers. As he reflects in silence, the words of the Qur’ān reach deep into his soul — a divine reminder that Allāh is closer than his own jugular vein. From this spark, a journey begins — not outward, but inward. In the warmth of the sun and the stillness of the mosque, he uncovers a truth: Islām is the warmth for the soul, but to live it, he must struggle for it. The struggle, he realizes, is not to control the outcome, but to sincerely strive — for justice, for faith, for inner clarity.
