The last full operating week for 2023 of the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway (apart from school holidays and festive events) saw it holding an End of Season Gala that included many visiting small locomotives. It was so successful that, apparently, the café ran out of food on the Saturday and the railway was doing pretty well on the Sunday.
The railway operates as a continuous run (with a tunnel) and can cater for 7.25 and 10.25 gauge locomotives. It it located in Eastleigh Country Park, a short distance from Southampton Airport and mainline station.
