After a lot of angle-grinding and sweating under the car, I finally remove 10 of the 12 header bolts. As you will see in the video, the last two outside bolts just won't budge and finally snap!
So it is time to purchase a special guide tool for their removal - but that comes later.
This series of videos goes to show why some people actually sell their 996 instead of changing out the headers. If you do it yourself it's a big job, but if you send it to the specialist it will cost a fortune.
I chose the former and in doing so wanted to prove that it is possible to DIY this job. Just so long as you don't need your 911 as a daily driver...
