I was meant to be relaxing by a pool, finishing a book, yet here I was dragged to parties every night. Papua New Guinea treated me and it was full of adventures, I met people every day. I acknowledge it’s one of the most violence cities in the world yet here I was being accepted, engaging with as many people as possible and talking rugby league with these footy mad nation. PNG had problems and they need time to grow. They need support and investment, the average life expectancy is just 65 years of age, but not in the club space as they have this covered. I appreciate the djs played Aussie music and local songs, and I have to admit I was sad to come home.
