Frankfurt Christmas Market 2024

This is a walking video tour at Christmas Market at Frankfurt 2024.
The video starts at Hauptwache, passing by Rosa Weinachts, Paulplatz akk the way to Weihnachtsmarkt am Römer.

Frankfurt's Christmas market stretches through the city center like a shining ribbon. From Roßmarkt via Hauptwache, Friedrich-Stoltze-Platz and Paulsplatz down to Römerberg and the banks of the Main, over 200 lavishly decorated stalls line the streets. Visitors will find arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, gifts and Christmas specialties from all over the world. On the Römerberg, the huge Christmas tree shines against the picturesque backdrop of the old town.

The traditional Frankfurt specialties are a particular highlight that you should definitely try!

The famous Bethmännchen, a sweet marzipan pastry, are a must during the Advent season. They go wonderfully with a mug of hot apple wine, which is indispensable in Frankfurt - especially on cold winter days.

The traditional “Quetschemännchen” are a lovely souvenir. The little ladies and gentlemen are made from dried plums and nuts and put together with wire. Originally, the Quetschemännchen is a chimney sweep or musician who is supposed to bring good luck.
