This is the 10/4/1980 UCLA at Ohio State game. The Buckeyes had won a hard fought game at UCLA in 1979 en route to a Big Ten Championship and Rose Bowl bid. A few of The Bruins, namely Safety Kenny Easley, had umed about a few post game comments some Buckeyes had paid. This game was revenge served cold as The Bruins froze out The Buckeye O. It was a bad look for OSU and Heisman Candidate Art Schlicter. I'm not sure if Earl Bruce ever completely recovered from this game. He would win but not at the level he did his first year plus.
