This YouTube video presentation is about aonymising interview participants be they organisations or people when reporting research. It is concerned with with reporting the methodology and the research findings.
I commence with definitions of both anonymised data and anonymity..
I then look in more detail at anonymising both the organisation and participants whilst still giving sufficient contextual information in the methodology section. This considers reporting both organisations and participant demographics in text and tables.
Next, I consider how to write the findings using both shorter and longer direct quotations from participants' responses.Both are illustrated drawn from a 2025 paper published in “Work, Employment and Society” with my colleagues,. This paper is listed in the references.
