I honestly wasn’t expecting this at all. I originally thought I’d arrived in Florence about two weeks too early and would miss the Christmas markets completely. But in true European fashion, I turned a corner…and there it was, already open and bustling.
In this video, I wander around the market and take everything in, especially since I haven’t been to a European Christmas market in over five years. You’ll see all the classic Christmas market favourites like bratwurst, pretzels, mulled wine and mulled cider, along with stalls selling Christmas gifts, jewellery, artwork and winter clothing.
I’m also joined by Quanha, who’s experiencing her very first Christmas market in Europe and trying mulled wine for the first time.
