Sheila Buchanan is Cree and Métis elder from Lac la Biche in Northern Alberta. She is a member of the SD#71 Comox Valley, Ni'noxsola , Elder in Residence program https://www.comoxvalleyschools.ca/ind.... She speaks the languages that were spoken in the Métis community of Lac la Biche which include Cree, Michif, English and a little French. She teach jigging to students.
