The final piece of my work bench: The vise. It's a Wilton WS6 6" vise, purchased for me by my dad a few years back. Installation was straight forward, however drilling through the 5/8-inch plate and 2-1/2 wood took a while. I started off with smaller bits and worked my way up, using plenty of cutting oil along the way.
The vise was painted disassembled and painted with Valspar Anti-Rust paint matched to the tool cabinets. No primer was used, as the rough cast texture of the vise provided a good surface for paint adhesion.
