Join us as we head out to a North Georgia river with nothing but a gold pan, a shovel, and three hours to see if we could uncover any hidden treasure. This was our first real attempt at gold panning on the channel, and exploring the riverbeds, testing different spots, and learning as we went made the entire adventure unforgettable. With North Georgia’s rich gold history, we wanted to see for ourselves if there was still any color waiting to be found.

Armed with simple gear and a lot of curiosity, we worked through the gravel, dug into the river’s edge, and searched each pan for that flash of yellow. From trial and error to surprising results, this trip was the perfect introduction to gold panning on the channel.
