Working with Lazy Knoll Holly on the halter. Keep in mind she’s been working on these walks for some time now - she started out feisty!
My recommendation is treats, constant praise in a soft calm voice, as well as quick firm jerks on the lead if they try to stop or pull back. If you try to get into a Tug of War match it just frightens and makes them more stubborn.
Everytime we reach one side of the lot I sit with her and give her scratches on her neck and chin with lots of praise!
Slow and steady wins the race!
