The most EPIC freediving mission of my life! 🦞🐟🥵
in this episode, I team up with a couple of absolute local legends, jack and ben, for what turns out to be the most incredible freediving adventure I’ve ever been on. these boys are next-level spearfishermen and freedivers, and they take me deep into their local stomping grounds.
we get stuck into some monster crayfish — seriously some of the biggest I’ve ever seen! the action is non-stop as we fill the bag with big, beautiful crays, before switching it up and grabbing the rods for a fishing session that delivers a solid haul of tasty gurnard.
just when you think the day’s done, we dive back in with the spearguns to chase down a few buttery butterfish and finish things off by gathering some fat blackfoot pāua for the final feast.
