Fan made video for "I Really Love You Babe" from the "Bolan's Zip Gun" album released in 1975. This BZG album track is a love song written by Marc Bolan for his pal, David Bowie - a loving testament to their great friendship. Bolan's lyrics include the line: "a viddy Bowie day" which was a reference to the slang Teenspeak of the Droogs from Anthony Burgess' masterpiece " A Clockwork Orange" - it means "I'll be seeing Bowie today" - and the second time that phrase occurs in the song it is followed by Bolan's clear exclamation: "'Cos we're the Diamond Dogs". The full lyrics are difficult to decipher but the "viddy Bowie Day" explanation came from Marc Bolan himself when he was asked by a fan about the lyrics to this song. Apparently, when Marc and David were both working (on their separate projects) in Los Angeles they would meet up and watch the Stanley Kubrick film of A Clockwork Orange together. This song represents a snapshot of that brief shared moment in time. Marc loves Dave 4eva OK !
