Hells Canyon, I Finally Found You | Oregon–Idaho Border

Filmed while driving up Hells Canyon along the Snake River on the Oregon–Idaho border.

I really didn’t expect this day to turn into what it did.

I’ve been curious about Hells Canyon for a long time, so I actually drove out of my way to come here. It started as one of those scenic drives I’m always hoping for, and it just kept building from there. The road, the views, the effort, and then the weather all showed up in their own way.

From reaching the end of the road near the Snake River to noticing a steep metal staircase carved into the canyon wall, the day kept nudging me to keep going.

Then the storm rolled in. It was fast, loud, and honestly kind of exhilarating. One of those moments where everything feels alive and you’re just fully in it.

Some of my favorite days on the road aren’t about plans or checklists. They’re about noticing what’s right in front of you, taking the stairs when you spot them, and letting the day unfold as it goes.
