In this video, I take you through some of Kolkata’s most legendary food institutions — dishes that define the city’s rich culinary heritage.
🍴 First stop: Golbari, the iconic eatery in Shyambazar, famous for its rich, dark and spicy Kosha Mangsho (mutton curry) — a dish every foodie must try in Kolkata.
🍤 Next, we head to Allen’s Kitchen in Sovabazar, serving their signature Prawn Cutlet since the early 20th century. A true piece of Kolkata’s Anglo-Indian food culture.
🍬 Finally, no Kolkata food journey is complete without mishti. We visit Girish Ch Dey & Nakur Ch Nandy, legendary sweet shops where the Sandesh has been perfected for generations.
