Gravelines is a project partner within the SARCC project located between Dunkirk and Calais, responsible for a pilot along their coastline, strengthening existing dunes. In order to achieve this the team at Gravelines began developing a simple system that simply traps sand, reinforcing the thickness and stability of the dune, making a more effective sea defence.
