[Fading Trade 廿四味] Tongji : Chinese folk religious practitioner 民间信仰降乩扶鸾 - 神明代言人 | EP 8/10

Tongji / Jitong is a Chinese folk religious practitioner, who is a person believed to have been chosen by a particular Chinese "god" as the earthly vehicle for divine expression. Although science is "taking-over" nowadays, but people still tend to look for advice from Tongji / Jitong, even the youngsters. 

乩童，也被称神明代言人，是一种职业，是原始宗教巫术仪式中，天神跟人或鬼魂跟人之间的媒介。在以前资讯不发达的时代，善男善女往往在发生事情的时候，选择到神庙去问事求解。而当来到资讯发达的时代，大家都以为问神问事已经是老一辈的行为， 但反之中青的信众有增无减 。 从某种层面来解读，这不算步入黄昏，反倒是一种文化的传承。
