Re-Entrancy Attacks exploit a solidity security hot topic. This solidity exploit was used in the famous Dao Hack in 2016. It is a dramatic story that led to a counter-hack to rescue The DAO's funds, and eventually a fork that split Ethereum into Ethereum Classic and the Ethereum we know now.
