Space Mountain Disneyland extremely rare Late 1970's promotional film (Courtesy of Disney)

This is an extremely rare promotional film of Space Mountain at Disneyland from the late 1970's. This is likely the oldest footage of the ride that is available on the Internet after it opened in May 1977. It was filmed by Disney for a souvenir 8 millimeter film. In the 1970's, Disney made several souvenir 8mm films for various attractions at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Synced to the film is the rare source audio for each part of the original ride shown in this film. This was before the first onboard soundtrack was added in 1996, which has been replaced with the current one since the major 2003-2005 refurbishment. The original lighting effects throughout the ride were also switched out with the current ones after the major 03-05 refurb. The one exception is the EXTREMELY rare original effect in the second lift hill. This was a triangle of blue lights. c.1982, this was replaced with a spinning red strobe light, which lasted until 2003. This is one of only 2 pieces of footage I've ever seen of the original 1977-c.1982 version of the second lift hill. I hope you enjoy this extremely rare footage!
