Using just one operational amplifier, how can we design a Double Integrator amplifier circuit to reduce cost via avoid the need for two op amps? This circuit is shown and then analytically compared with the standard dual op amp circuit that is based on the cascade of two inverting integrator. The advantage is cost because the active component (op amp) defines the circuit cost. For instance an operational amplifier from Texas Instrument or from Analog Devices might cost anywhere from less than a dollar to hundreds of dollars depending on the required op amp spec needed for the desired application.
