Bodmin Railway Great Western Railway (GWR) 4575 Class, 2-6‐2T (Small Prairie),
no.5553 leaves Bodmin General station with the 11.50am run, to Boscarne Junction, twenty minutes late on August 19th 2025. Things went well with the opening journey to Boscarne Junction but the heavy rain had made the rails very slippery and the engine stalled on the climb back up to Bodmin General station. The train had to reverse and make a faster run to negotiate the climb which it managed successfully.
Thanks to comment correction as originally described as Saddle tank.
