Sponging activity for kids | Montessori practical life exercise 💧🧽

In this video, I’ll be showing you the Montessori Sponging Activity, a fun and simple Practical Life activity you can easily set up at home.

You’ll need:
✔ A tray
✔ A sponge
✔ Two bowls
✔ A wiping cloth
✔ A plastic or table mat

Start by filling one bowl with water. Show your child how the sponge absorbs water and then squeezes it out into the other bowl. This activity strengthens hand and finger muscles, improves concentration, and indirectly prepares the child’s hand for writing.

When your child is done, guide them to pour the water into the sink and wipe the bowls, tray, and mat. This promotes independence and care for the environment.
