In this video, we remove the Charger's front door panels, separate the soft insert and armrest sections by grinding off the factory plastic welds, and replace the original padded vinyl/cloth with new LeatherSeats.com upholstery covers. The replacement kit we’re using is automotive-grade vinyl (genuine leather also available), and we show how to glue a layer of 1/4" upholstery foam and the new cover onto each insert. We wrap and staple the material securely, then reattach the inserts and armrests to the door panel using specialized methods. Finally, we reinstall the door panels to complete the upgrade – which now matches the Charger’s custom seats, console lid, and shift boot for a fully coordinated look.
