Andrew and I had a great day chasing trains today. This day, we were Railfanning as opposed to Train Hunting. We knew when/where all of the trains we saw or were going to see for the day. We never know exactly when, but we had a good idea. With Amtrak, we have a better idea of when they are coming or going because of their train-tracking app https://www.amtrak.com/track-your-tra... . They have a schedule, but believe me, the tracker is way more informative. We've waited for hours before we knew there was a train tracker app. (That may have been before there were apps). It was on a day when the train hit a pick-up truck. Ironically, it also hit a garbage truck a couple of years later.
Well, this train was fun to follow. It was going so much faster. I believe this resulted in the train horn going off almost non-stop for quite a while.
