Stillblue - Luna - Tiny Desk Contest 2022

Hello friends,
This is our entry to the NPR Tiny Desk Contest for 2022. We had originally planned on submitting a different song (hence the unused keyboard on stage), but we just love playing Luna and decided to play it for ourselves. Thankfully we had forgotten we had cameras recording and upon listening to it we decided we should enter this song. This is the oldest song in our repertoire, with Enrique having first penned the lyrics when he was 17 and going through his first heartbreak. The song was inspired by the line Billie Holiday's "I'll Be Seeing You," "I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you." When the sun is out we can occupy ourselves with our daily chores and ignore the heartache, but at night you're left alone with the constant reminder of what you've lost.
