When Kailyn and her high school lover Jo Rivera welcomed their baby Isaac, Kailyn was 17 years old and became a mother for the first time. On the second season of "16 and Pregnant," which aired on MTV, fans were first introduced to Kailyn when she was pregnant with this child.

Kailyn's relationship with Jo did not work out, however after they broke up, she started dating Javi Marroquin. Kailyn was married to Javi when she was 20 years old, and their son Lincoln was born a little less than a year after that. When Kail gave birth to Linc, she was 21 years old.
