How to program a classic trance supersaw patch on the Elektron Digitone….

Using Algorithm 8 you can set Operator B to a Saw by setting the feedback to 60. You can then set Operator C to a Saw by setting the Harmonics to -7.00, then set the Level of Operator A to 70. Now you have two saw waves you can set the cross fader in the middle and then detune Operators C and B set at around 50.

You can add an additional sub oscillator (Sine) by lowering the ratio of Operator B to 1.00/0.50. Now adjust the Amp Env to add some release, and add some envelope modulation to the filter.

Head to voice settings, make it 2 voice unison, adjust the spread to taste.

Copy this track to all 4 tracks. Now on the voice setting page Layer all 4 tracks so they are triggered by Track 1. Now when you play a note all four tracks will play the same sound. Go to the keyboard settings page and transpose Track 2 up by 12 semitones, Track 3 down by 12 semitones, and Track 4 up by 7 semitones. Now you have a very thick supersaw ;-)

Try setting your scale to Aeolian D5, then play Diatonic notes for those classic trance chords. Enjoy! :-)
