Show Me The Money! A royalty 101 workshop with CMRRA.

The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) and a host of other music industry professionals gathered on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, to provide guidance to songwriters and music publishers who are navigating music rights and royalties.

“Show Me The Money! a music royalties 101 workshop” was a free-to-attend virtual event with a focus on CMRRA’s royalty collections and distribution.

Moderated by David Click Cox (CLK Creative Works), the panel featured Kim Temple (High Priestess/ Six Shooter Records), Julian Taylor (Songwriter, self-published), Lord Quest (Warner Music Canada), Nicole Pratt (Anthem Entertainment), and Rebecca Webster (CMRRA.) The panellists discussed rights and royalties from the perspective of two music publishers, a songwriter, and a producer.
