Dino Islands Park consists of two islands located approximately 10 flying minutes west of Komodo International Airport (WATO). The islands are home to several species of dinosaurs, flying dinosaurs and giant flying insects. Each island has a helipad (DINO1 and DINO2).

All dinosaurs are fully animated. The scenery comes with complete night lighting. A night flight to the islands is a whole new experience! Let yourself be surprised by many illuminated and glowing things.

MISSION:

You are a helicopter pilot for Dino Islands Park LLC operating out of Komodo International Airport (WATO).

To pick up your passengers, start your flight at parking position 1 at WATO.

Then fly on a heading of 265° for 15 nm (~ 10 minutes) to the first island (DINO2).

When approaching the island, look out for a flying Quetzalcoatlus.

From DINO2, you have a great view of Gallimimus Meadows and the namesake large dinosaurs as well as giant dragonflies roaming the helipad.

After taking off, search for a herd of Stegocera Validums, which graze west of the helipad.

After circling the Stegoceras, fly to the second island (DINO1) on a heading of 145° for just 2.5 nm.

When approaching the island, look out for a flying Pteradactal.

From DINO1, you have a great view of T-Rex Beach. There is a good chance of seeing T-Rexes, because they are fed in the vicinity as well as giant butterflies roaming the helipad.

Before heading back to WATO, search for and circle a herd of Triceratops dinosaurs, which roam west of the helipad.
