A Trip That Brought My Caregiving Journey Full Circle

Last year, I was a full-time caregiver for my grandma. No roadmap, just figuring things out day by day.

Now I find myself in rooms like this. I was invited to join tendercare’s off-site in South Salem, NY, where a small team is building tools to support the next generation of caregivers.

We spent a few days together by the lake: talking, thinking, creating, and sharing our stories.

It was the first time many of us met in person after months of working together remotely and something about being in the same space brought everything into focus.

This trip reminded me how much those years with my grandma still matter. That experience still has a place here.
